Draft @ Portsmouth, NH location. Served in my mug, can’t tell color. Light head. Malt and bread nose. Starts sweet and finishes bitter with a touch of salt. Flavors of biscuit, light caramel and light fruit hop finish. I’m really thinking Red Hook is getting too big. This brew is aimed at the masses, to commercial. Nothing to make it stand-out. Skip this one.

12oz unique Red Hook bottle. I’m not the biggest Amber fan, so my rate might be a little jaded. Slightly hazy orange-tan color..not so amber, but I guess me don’t recognize Copper Ales around these parts.. Thin off-white head. Buttery, fruity amber malt aroma, some hops to make it acceptable. Medium bodied, thin, fading aftertaste. Just a hollow shell of a craft beer. Sessionable, but just lacks any semblance of depth. Not bad, not off, just bland and insipid, West Coast style.

Draught at Elk Public House, Spokane, WA. Clear amber, no head. Slight cardboardy caramel aroma. Mid sweet, clean hard mouthfeel. A bit of syrup before a finish with low bitterness. Dull and lifeless without purpose or direction.

12oz bottle-pours a white head and hazy gold color. Aroma is bready-slightly sweet light malt/grain, herbal. Taste is bready-slightly sweet light malt/grain, secondary light/medium fruit, twang/herbal hops bite, some yeast.

12 oz bottle into shaker. I have a sneaking suspicion this is going to be a real boring beer. I haven’t ranked it yet, however, and I saw a bottle at the grocery store for cheap, so why not? Malty salty nose; some floral notes; breadlike. This beer truly does have a copperish hue. Small head with decent lacework. Nicely balanced. Starts sweet and finishes bitter with a touch of salt. Highly carbonated. Boring, but better than I was expecting. It’s a thirst-quenching inoffensive bland quaffer.

Faint aroma of oranges.Hazy amber, no head. Weak flavor of oranges, slightly perfumey, orange peel finish. Low intensity session beer, perhaps too sessionable. Drinkable, though.

Pours light gold into a shaker. White head quickly recedes to nothing. Mild caramel aromas. Crisp with upfront caramel and a medium length hop finish.

Overall Impression: A pretty nice beer for what it is, no hug flavors or anything like that, but what flavors are there are done pretty well, it's got a nice balance, and it drinks really nicely. Nothing fancy going on here, but a solid brew.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a medium off-white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel and peach with other fruity notes. Taste is elementary school fruit cocktail... syrupy pineapple and apricot with light caramel. Medium bodied.
