Dark strong ale fermented in a Chianti foudre with 500 kg of cherries added in the summer of 2016. Dark red-brown with a tightly knit, dusty pink head. Complex aroma of rose petals, vanilla, overripe cherries and a hint of strawberry. More cherry follows up in the flavour and is complemented by caramelized sugar, bread crust and fruity tartness. Medium-bodied and effervescent with mid-palate bitterness. The finish is warming alcohol, lingering acidity and bitter almond.

Flaska från SB drucken med ölföreningen. Djupröd färg, mustig oxiderad doft med funk och stall. Fantastiska körsbässmaker, fat, trä, marsipan, mörkt rött sött vin, kärnor, mörka bär. Mycket gott

2016 Bottle. Bottle 1242/1267. 75cl. Shared with Ronnemos1. Pours amber reddish with a small settling white creamy head. Deep complex nose with a small touch of oxidation that leaves quickly as the beer opens up and warms a bit. Lovely cherries, dark fruit and wood with a touch of red wine. Extremely elegant. Gentle warmth. One of the best Penyllan ive had.
