Bottle. Pitch black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate, some salted liquorice, tar and mild wooden tones to it. Flavour is roasted, some slight chocolaty, salted liquorice and mild wooden tones with mild spiciness and some slight alcohol. Wooden and somewhat sweet aftertaste, but still rather mellow and nice to drink. In a way intense, but also easy going.

Bottle procured in Finland a while back. Very dark color, huge lasting brown head that I was not expecting from an imperial stout. Roasted nose with hints of brown sugar and whisky. The flavor is many-layered: sweetness and brown sugar up front, nice complexity of oak and a hint of whisky in the middle, with a rounded bitter-smoky-roasted-coffee aftertaste. At the end it's a great Absolutely-Not-Pastry (!) stout with powerful hop bitterness and complex flavor profile.

ABV: 10.0%. Clear dark dark red brown colour with virually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, wood, oak, whisky, moderate chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, wood, dark malt, chocolate - dried fruit, wood, light licorice. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finsh feel is warming. [20210331]

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Black, small brown head. Dark chocolate, salmiak and tar dominate the nose. Restrained sweetness, slick, rounded body pave the way for a drinkable, yet flavourful stout. Peaty whisky joins the chocolate and licorice to make it elegant, albeit mildly peppery. A winner!

Opaque colour, small beige head. Roasted rye bready aroma with tarry whiskey. Medium to full-bodied. Mellow roasted flavour, nice whiskey notes with tar and even licorice. Roasted, not sweet version of Ruosniemi's whiskey barrel impys.

Mild smell of peat, oak. Very dark brown colour, brown head. Aroma of peat, oak, malt, ash, roasted malt, whisky. Rye in finish. Bitter, medium sweet. Thick texture.

A black beer, a head is small and beige. Aroma has liquorice, richness of malts, some caramel and dried fruits, hint of vanilla. Aroma has liquorice, roastiness, some caramel, mild and dry barrel in the end. Almost full bodied. This is a nice beer, barreling is very succesul.
