Can from Mr. Hop. Aroma is roasted malt with coffee and cocoa. Chocolate, more firm roast and coffee. Flavour is a bit sweet with a moderate to medium bitterness. Medium body. Allround good Stout, nicely roasty, bittersweetish, plenty of coffee.

Keg at P Macs, Dublin, 24/02/22 Light black with a good sized lasting tan cap. Nose is dark malts, liquorice, light roast, treacle toffee, fruit cake. Taste comprises chocolate flakes, light roast, nutty, tobacco, toasted brown sugar, light charr. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent stout.

440ml can. Jet black colour with average, thick, dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty, minimally smoky-ashy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, coffee, burnt coffee, coffee surrogate, whiffs of black olives, leather. Taste is dry, sweet-ish and bitter, roasty, chocolately dark malty and slightly caramel malty, notes of dark chocolate, dark caramel, coffee, mocha, a touch of burnt coffee, coffee surrogate, overtones of dried dark fruit, black olives, leather. Slightly creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously dry and minimally repellent as well as minimally cloying palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Well balanced, focussed, clean - very good!
