33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Deep black with an off-white head. Roasted malts. dark caramel, nuts and dark fruits (dates, raisins). Sweet taste with a gentle roast. Sweet finish. Not really a traditional bock but nonetheless a tasty brown beer.

330ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and small, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly toasty, minimally nutty, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, dark caramel, a very cautious, fruity touch of black cherry and plum. Taste is dry, sweet-ish, toasty and minimally nutty, dark malty, slightly bitter and fruity hoppy, notes of roasted nuts, a touch of dark caramel and malt lozenge, hints of black cherry, some plum, a touch of dried fruit. Creamy, oily texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, soft to medium, prickly carbonation. Very clean, balanced, harmonious, nice fruitiness, high drinkability - pretty good.
