Bottle, 0.5l. Cloudy golden pour, one finger creamy white head, medium retention, sticky lacing on the glass. Nice on the nose, clean and crisp, grassy and herbal notes with light citrus in the background.

Medium body, medium carbonation, lively. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, fizzy, easily drinkable. Nicely balanced bittersweet taste. Aroma of malt, grains, hay. Bready, floral. Herbal notes, light spice, touch of citrus peel. Medium lasting finish, slightly dry, lingering bitterness.

Quite tasty and refreshing.

500ml bottle (4.8% ABV version) from Beers of Europe, drank at home on 23rd March 2024 after watch Grimsby lose at home to Wrexham 1-3 (on TV). Poured into a straight sided 'Schultheiss' half-litre glass. Large snow white crown on a slightly hazed light golden body. Earthy, dry, grainy, yeasty feel to this, a herbal twist maybe too.
