On tap at Craft Beer Bar, Bremen. Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma of dark dried fruits, dark bread, alcohol. Tastes sweet with balancing bitterness. Medium bodied, bitter finish.

Tap at the brewpub. Beer in the glass deep black, fruity aroma. Reminds me of melon, maybe mango. Starts quite malty, earthy, woody. Bitter background. Finish more hoppy, not as fruity as the aroma. Malty-roasty aftertaste. Interesting one!

Draft at the source. Great to see this style in Germany, and this one is a very good example. Deep clear maroon color with a tan ice cream cone head. Aroma of dark roast coffee and pine trees. Taste is bitter resiny pine on a dark roast background. Delicious.

Vollmundig hopfig malziger Antrunk. Trocken bitter, vollmundig, spritzig. Wenig Roggen aber dennoch gefällig. 9/10/9/9//10

Sampled @ Craftbier Messe Mainz 2016. Dunkel orange braune Farbe, mittelgroße beige schaumkrone. Geruch nach Roggen, dunkles röstmalz, Schokolade. Geschmack süß Röstmalzig, viel Roggen, deutlich hopfig bitter.

25-11-16 // sample at CraftBeerMesse Mainz. 7.1%! Strong malty, strong hoppy, but well balanced. Dont get the rye that much.

At Internationales Berliner Bierfestival 2016. Almost clear dark amber with a medium head. Aroma and taste of citrus, some licorice and light roasted malt. Also some dark chocolate in the fairly bitter finish.
