“Lemke Black Rye IPA“, Flasche (33 cl) von Edeka, Berlin. - Schwarzbraun, dunkler Schaum.

Nice black ipa with a lot of character.
Black stuff with a nice beige head. Good lacing. Looks fine and inviting. Good intensity in the aroma. Hoppy chocolate. Medium + body and a fine mellow carbonation level. Easy and pleasant to drink. Fine balanced bitterness and sweetness. Semi dry and a fine lasting tail. Roast, citric hoppy, chocolate, herbal/rye and fruity flavor. Yummi.

Pours almost black from the bottle. The tan, thick, frothy head settles quickly to a creamy layer. Strong citrus and pine on the aroma. And roggen too. Goes down velvet smooth with a bitter backbite at the finish. Overall very hops-forward, a little less subtle than I prefer but still not out of balance. A touch warming at the end. Good.
