Bottle bought at Lemke Berlin. Crystal brown, long lasting light brown head. Aroma is roasty with a hint of fruit. Flavor packs a coffee and dark roast punch, citrus hop heavy, closing to a smooth but strong bitterness. Some spicy notes, rye flavor and astringency. Really nice one!

Bouteille 33cl dégustée à Lemke Brauhaus, Berlin. BB 12/08/2019.

(Bottle, Lemke am Alex, Berlin, 18 July 2018) Dark brown colour, almost black, with frothy beige head. Malty, roasted, hoppy nose with coffee, chocolate and pine needles. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt, pine needles, some mint and a slightly sharp piney bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, quite dry. Bitterness is a bit sharp, but it's tasty and well made. Nice one.
