On tap @ Bowling Duino. Aroma of wheat, biscuit, citrus and herbs. Pours hazy amber brown color with large creamy off-white head and good lacing. Tastes refreshing grainy, yeatt and citrusy, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is mild bitter. Light to medium body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Bowling & howling…

Trübe gelb orange Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hefiger, malziger, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich hefig, malzig, fruchtig mit reifer Banane und Gewürznelke. Hohe Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

On tap at Mochoritsch Eck at Klopeinersee. Orange Amber hazy with a big light head, banana notes. A bit sharp on the tongue but full of banana and some caramel. Pretty tasty but not quite up to the Bayern weissbier standard.

Tap at Hirter Felsenkeller. Looks good in the glass, nice small head. Mild malty yeasty aroma. Starts mild, sweet malty, fine yeasty notes. Light apricot hints. Finish well balanced. Nice one!

Tap at Hirter pub in Austria. Cloudy hay pour, white medium foam. Nose is a blast (elegant) of banana and clove. Mouth is balanced, it feels like drinking a slice of bread with a creamy banana paste on it. Lovely.

0,3l on tap at Einstein Vienna. Cloudy dark yellow, small white head. Tastes of spices, banana, peach , yeasty. Medium body, soft carbonation, slick carbonation. Tastes spices, parfume, flowery, peach, bubblegum. finishes with peach and spices. Decent stuff, nice mouthfeel.

On tap. Nice deep orange color, thick white head, reducing, no lacing. Quiet nose. Aroma weizen malts, smooth noble hops. Taste is quite flat, dusty to oily texture, thick feel, average carbonation, dry finish. This weizen did not impress, weak without the spicy tones i like in the style.

Die Kärnter sehen sich ja sehr gerne als die besten Menschen Österreichs, Europas und sowieso der ganzen Welt...allerdings das Hirter Weizen ist kein besonders gutes Bier um dieses Paradigma zu unterstützen. Es ist enorm wässrig und es fehlt irgendwie an Aroma.
