De nieuwste special van ’t IJ. Na het succes van voorganger Juicy wilden we graag nóg eens een bier brouwen met flink wat citrusfruit. Even sleutelen aan een mooi recept en daar is Fruity: Een zomerse IPA met een heerlijk fruitig karakter door de berg mandarijnen die we er aan hebben toegevoegd. Lichtbitter door de Amarillo en Citra hop.

330ml bottle. Opalescent, orangey golden colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, snow white head. Slightly yeasty spicy and zesty, citrusy fruity hoppy aroma, notes of orange zest, grapefruit peel, hints of mustard seed, bergamot and lemon tea. Taste is dry, moderately bitter, zesty, citrusy fruity, minimally yeasty spicy, notes of orange peel, grapefruit peel, some lemon zest, a touch of mustard seed, bergamot, old lemon peel, minimally biscuity, pale malty basis. Oily texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Light, fairly refreshing, quite some Farmhouse IPA / hoppy Saison character - OK.

33cl Fles van AH. Vrijwel helder goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Ruikt wat zwavelig, grapefruit, niet echt aanlokkelijk. Smaak is beter, redelijk fris, wat mandarijntjes, grapefruit, licht bittere finish. Lichte body. Degelijk.

Very light hazy golden with a white head. Grassy hoppy aroma with tangerines and some pink grapefruit. Sweet taste with a low bitter finish. Light bodied, really a summer beer.

Bottle. Clear light golden with white head. Pils malts, tangerine, dank grassy hops, bready, flint, dusty flowers, orange blossom. Medium sweet and almost medium bitter. Crisp medium bodied. Hss a bit of a lager touch here and there, not bad.
