2017 als Flanders Red Ale eingebraut, reifte die Basis der Weichseltraud bis zum Sommer 2020 in Barriquefässern (Vorbelegung: Red Out III). Bei der folgenden Mazeration auf 250g/l Weichseln (Sauerkirschen) vergärt der Fruchtzucker langsam, Aroma und Farbe der Weichseln verbinden sich mit dem Bier. Im Glas dominiert die Frucht mit Aromen nach Weichseln und roten Beeren. Ein dezenter Malzkörper bringt mit leichten Karamellnoten Balance. Die erfrischende Säure macht das Bier lebendig.

Bottle, 330 ml courtesy of Kettle Sour. Shared with him and others. Deep red with small white pinkish head. Super fruity, juicy, cherries, sweet, medium sourness. Soft texture. Medium bodied. Nice surprise.

33cl bottle. A deep purple red beer with a white lacing. Aroma of tart red berries, lactic fruits, vanilla, brett. Taste of tart red berries, wine, oak, lactic fruits.

Trockener, fein säuerlicher Beginn. Würzig, intensiv, weich. Trocken bleibend, die Säure steigt an, vollmundig. Langer Nachhall. Monton aber lecker. 10/11/12/12/13/11

0,33l bottle at home shared by a friend. redish bourdeaux brownish color, small pink head. smells sour cherries, marzipan, hints of vinegar, berries, light wood. nice to very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes citric, marzipan, nutty, lightly herbal, some sweet & sour cherries, subtle brown sugar. finishes subtly sweet and and light to medium sour with notes marzipan, sour cherries and some light brown sugary notes. lovely very nice balance, very good one.
