Its special flavour comes from a unique beer recipe which includes melanoidin malt. A special and extremely complex malting process gives the Zwickl Rot its typical red colour and unmistakeable chocolate and caramel notes. Austria's first amber, naturally cloudy and unique unfiltered red beer was bottled in 2001.
