This beer is a classic pale, light, hoppy and refreshing with a tempting bitter finish. Not for small fry.

Cask at House of Hop, Darlington. Gluten Free. Golden colour, white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, grain, citric hop hint. Taste is malty, grainy, bready & biscuit notes with citric hop bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying bitter finish. Quite drinkable

440ml can from HOTM now at 4.1%. Seven and a half years since the last review, yikes, obviously this is a very occasional beer. Pale clear gold, small white head, decent retention. Aroma of light fruity and green floral hops. Taste is light, melon, passionfruit, grapefruit, grassy and floral hop finish with a light resin, and moderate bitterness. After a while a tingling of spice is evident. Light bodied and refreshing. Its decent.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby – and another vote for 4.1%. Citrus and floral hops in the nise – but traces of sweet malts too. Pours a lemon yellow with a small white head. Sharp in the mouth with citrus and floral hops (again), and a juicy texture. Traces of lemongrass and mango too. Finish is yet more citrus. Judgment reserved on this one.
