Can at home in Hackney - picked up from All Good Beer. Pours clear amber-brown with a big, billowing frothy beige head. Medium sweet flavour, rich stewed berries, grapes, toffee, Belgian yeast, candy sugar, creme caramel. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, a little sticky sweet, more ripe and jammy berries, more toffee, rich bready malts. Solid.

Can from The Beerhive. Hazy ruby/brown body with a thin off-white head. Low carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of candy and caramel. Flavour of cherry, yeast and wood. Medium with a slick texture. Soft fizz. This is fantastic.

Can, picked up at the brewery. Deep, reddy brown, with a faint haze. Slim off white head stays the course, showing a nice leg. Nose has chocolate covered toffees. Vine fruit. Festive cake mix. Prunes. Some orange peel. It’s all here. Taste is mostly sweet and fruity, with a touch of dryness. Super smooth mouthfeel. Nicely rich. 8.8% is well hidden. Light bitter finish. A quad that warrants necking.
