Pours black with no head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, alcohol, coffee, funk, licorice and wood. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, chocolate, licorice, coffee and wood finish. Body is full, texture is oily with no carbonation. Would be better with carbonation.

0,375 flaske fra VP Kvaddå, hjemme på nyttårsaften: nesten helt svart med kort bruseskum. Vidunderlige duft- og smaksinntrykk fra første øyeblikk - sviskeplommer, tørkede fiken, vanilje, knekk, søt bourbon, årgansportvin, mørke sjokoladekarameller og andre lekkerier. Dybde, fylde, glede og balansekunst fra mitt favorittbryggeri, og definitivt verdt hver eneste av mine pensjonistkroner jeg brukte på denne. Innen glasset er tømt har jeg fått tilbake troen på at 2022 blir et godt år med mulighet til å traske ubekymret rundt i mine to andre hjembyer London og København, og ikke et nytt year of patient waiting.

YG 010921. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is soy sauce, roasted malt, coffee, alcohol. Flavor is soy sauce, alcohol, funk, dried fruits, oak, barnyard, caramel. Powerful beer.

Bottle, 375ml. An oily pour, dark brown to black in color, with no head. The aroma has lots of soy, with funk, alcohol, dark chocolate, roasted malts and a good dash of dark dried fruits. Oak, some barnyard and leather. It's full-bodied, warming, oily and flat, with lots of dark flavors. Prunes, raisin, soy sauce, dark chocolate, booze, some caramel and roasted malts, with a touch of funk and toffee. Everlasting finish. Lasting finish. Quite delicious, wouldn't mind some carbonation though. 210901

375ml expensive, compact bottle, batch 122, flaske nummer 624, kindly shared by lmojoh. A bubbly fawn-coloured head declining over a pretty black body, dotted spots on the glassware. Inviting aromas of rounded roasted dark malts, and scent of berry-fruit. Well blended, robust taste of dark fruits and berries overlaid by chocolate malts. Oaky. Long-lived, smooth ending with warmth from a bourbon bite. Mouthfilling. Dry and sweet sipper qualities. (Rating session with Finn, djoeye and lmojoh, Tromsø 27.04.2021).

Mørkebrun nesten sort med lite beige skum. Aroma malt vanilje fatpreg. Smak søtlig malt sukker vanilje sjokolade. Fin fylde, saftig og smaksrik, noe søt i avslutningen

Spandert av lmojoh. Delt med ham, djoeye og Rune i WCveien. Svart. Mokkafarget filmskum. Komplisert aroma. Litt nøtter. Litt bær. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken bær. Tørr - litt alkoholisk avslutning. Annerledes - litt eksperimentelt øl.
