Golden-amber, it has an appley, fruity hop character with a slightly biscuity hop note, finishes off-dry and quite moreish.

500ml bottle. Orange-yellow golden colour, foamy white head leaving some lacing and aroma of caramel malt & citrusy hop. Taste is biscuity malt caramel, earthy & peppery with grapefruit citrus, hop bitterness. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, malty dry bitter finish. Quite OK.

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Plough, Shifnal on 14th Dec 13 during a CAMRA pub crawl, this was the second of three beers from this brewery I had in The Plough that day. Clear golden hue to the body, snow white covering of tight bubbles on top. Sadly it was another of ’those citrus flavoured golden brews’ that I’ve tired of. Nicely made and all that Jazz but it looked, smelled and tasted the same as 100 other similar beers being produced in the UK at the moment. I know others love them and that’s why they are being brewed, but it’s not summer: I don’t want thirst quenching lemon and lime flavoured beers now. The beer is hoppy and citrusy: enough said (scored objectively).

Cask at The Hanging Bat. Pours clear pale golden yellow with a good white head. Aromas of lemon, hay and grapefruit. Taste had good bitterness. Palate a little thin, but a very nice beer all the same.

Cask at The Horseshoe in Hampstead, London on 1 July 2013. Poured a slightly hazy light amber colour with a white head. Bready malts on the nose with some light hop aromas. Flavour is similarly more dominated by sweet and grainy malts, balanced by some fairly nice grassy hops. Palate faded out a little quick. Quite drinkable, but not the hoppy beer I was expecting.

Bottled 500ml (BZ, BB 09/2012)
Clear golden color, small steady white head, lace. Light fruity-flowery aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Light fruityness and bitterness in the flavor. Some nutty maltyness in the background. Clean but not very exciting. Last 3 beers I’ve had from this brewery have quite similar malt and even hop profiles.
