Black beer, decent light tan head. Big chocolate aroma. Flavour is chocolatey, has a little toasty malt and some vanilla. There's not a lot going on but it's decent, has a distinct taste and is pretty drinkable.

Keg at Cold Town. It pours dark brown with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, roasty, definite chocolate cake, gateaux and cake frosting. The taste is pretty sweet upfront, sticky, toothy, chocolate fo sho, cola, touch of vanilla, touch of Dr Pepper, toasty malts and dull char with a shirt, sweetish finish. Light to medium body and fine carbonation. A bit sweet and one dimensional. Fair.

Tap. Opaque dark brown color with almost no head. Aroma is buttery muffin, chocolate, a touch nuts. Taste is buttery, chocolate, a bit bready. Buttermilk mouthfeel, almost flat. Not great.

On.keg at Cold Town. Appearance - dark brown to black with a crema head. Nose - dark chocolate and definitely cakey. Taste - rich chocolate cake, indeed. Some caramel and molasses in there too. Some sweet spice also. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Overall - lovely.

Keg at Cold Town House. Pours black with a thin beige head. Aromas of liquorice, blackcurrant, chocolate. Taste is light sweet, some coffee, more dark berries. Not strong, or rich enough for any cakey elements to come through imo. Not bad though.
