This truly special beer is a hybrid between Old Ale and Flanders Brown. We further enriched the complex combination of malts by using maraština raisins and molasses in the brewing process. After primary fermentation with English yeast strains, the beer is transferred to barrique barrels in which it acquires a completely new dimension by secondary fermentation with wild yeasts and long aging.

Bottle. Dark coppery-brown, thinner beige head, slowly settling. Soury nose, vinous and balsamic which comes out a bit later. Some biscuits in teh back. Moderate malty sweetness, caramel and biscuits, mildy tart and gently bitter, slight soury touch. Lasting aftertaste, tart. Medium full, silky, no trace of alcohol. Could do with a bit more sourness in the taste.

Dark amber color, minimum, not lasting, off white head. Immediately fruity, cherry and like wine aroma. Not strong sourness or acidity which lasts into taste too. Medium body and medium to moderate carbonation. Some bitterness in taste with woody and wine feeling. Very dry. Light raisin and berries feeling in taste. Nice combination of styles, and nice try. Expected bit more, specially in taste.

0,375 l bottle shared with little Dina and Marko. Hazy dark amber to brown, small lasting beige head. The aroma is fruity, tart cherry, tart berries, dried fruit, malts, gentle vinous character and acidity. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, wood, very dry, light to moderate sourness. Malts, raisins, figs. A light metallic note, a light funky note towards the finish. Tart and dry lasting finish. Alcohol is hidden. Maybe not as complex as the combination of those two styles would suggest, but nonetheless very nice.

Bottle, huge thanks Hrabren for sharing! Murky purple-red body, off white head, lightly pinkish, not too big. Creamy, smooth, gentle wine-like aroma, rather, Flanders red-like. Lightly flowery, some tartness. Dry bitterish taste, clean maltiness, strong woody tannin notes, soft wine/raisin touches. Quite clean, light light acetic touches. Quite a bit more tame than expected, a worthy experiment which I do not mind one bit.

Bottle, 375 ml, courtesy of Miro B. Shared with him and Max. Brown dark orange with off white head. Malty, dried fruit, bit spicy, very dry. Light to medium sourness. Vinous, tannic, barrel. Bit thin in finish and overall too subdued.

Bottled 375ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Unclear red coloured, minimal off-white head, light wood and raisins in the nose. Moderate sweet malty, molasses, caramel, raisins and light nutty with touch of alcohol in the finish. Lack of real sour touch is evident but very good beer overall.
