330ml bottle. Cloudy, amber-ish, red colour with average, firm, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Relatively weak, slightly fruity, minimally tangy aroma, hints of red berries, a cautious touch of sauerkraut, red and white grapes. Taste is compared to the aroma almost explosive, sweet-and-sour, vinous fruity, mildly tannic, oaky, tangy, citrusy, lactic, fruit acidic, notes of red berries, blue grapes, white grapes, lime, hints of grape sugar, plum, mild sauerkraut, lemon peel. Oily-watery texture, minimally astringent, simultaneously minimally greasy and cloying palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Nice, but rather cautious aroma, excellent taste; rich and manifold, very refreshing - superb!

Very thick-set cream-coloured head, stable over foxy brown, hazy beer. Strange, "old" nose as from (slow) oxydation; nut/portwine cake, some spices, somehow bit aggressive aroma. Sourish, with again this oxydation flavour. Tastes for all the world like an aged brown Belgian with an excessive dose of lactic acid. Cake with chocolate, sour red fruit, blackcurrant and booze. Light body by acidthinning, but still very slick. Medium carbonation, lipsmacking acidity. Heads nor tails. Thanks to Joren!

0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeer-Shop.com', best before October 2025. Slightly hazy, ruby with a large, foamy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, rather vinous-fruity aroma of elderberry, vanilla, hibiscus, rosehip, white wine and light oak. Gently sweet, moderately sour, fairly vinous-fruity taste of lots elderberry, white wine, redcurrant, hibiscus, some vanilla and traces of oak, followed by a short, moderately tart, fairly vinous, a little woody finish. Medium body, smooth, minimally astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Again very tasty, not sure if I liked the red wine barrel variant better or not, both are super harmonious and round.
