Pours slightly unclear, warm amberorange. Small white head. prominent scent with tea shining trough, which goes surprisingly well with the dried-fruit aspect of the Barleywine base. Even some fruityness, fresh florality in a way. luxureous scent ! Taste is full, bit sweet - some simple sugars, but the tea makes it so much more complex. Strange bitterness, and a floral/fruity/herbal ending I partially love, but other parts of it i really dislike. A very confusing beer - much more interesting and enjoyable than I thought i'd think about it - disliking all I ever knew that was tea - the tea actually does a good thing here. I love the florality, but the herbal side makes me go to places in my mind I don't particularly love in my beer (pot pourri-side) Still, more than fair attempt of these guys and girl ! might be one of the most - if not the most - surprising beers by them for me. Could use a bit ( or more) body though.

Small whitish head over veiled ochre-amber beer. Strange, soupy aroma, bit nutty, oak, tannines suggested, all muffled. Cheesy, oak, vegetables. Finish sports the Lady Grey tannines indeed. Alcohol, but all the same a pretty light, almost watery impression, vlak . Pretty disappointing, "le plumage ne vaut pas le ramage", as de la Fontaine said. Tea is not exactly the aroma to beef up a neutral beer. Thanks to Stef!
