Can from Honest Brew. Hazy amber body with an off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of toffee, wood and cranberry. Flavour of stewed tea and raspberry. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Why aren’t there more Red IPAs? They’re delicious and have a nice malty complexity regular IPAs don’t have. Great beer.

Tap. Very dark amber, more dark brown color, with beige head. Aroma is caramel, a touch buttery, fudge. Taste is caramel, fudge, herbal hops, with an earthy-herbal bitter finish. Silky mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Alright, but a bit muddled.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [211215]
Reddish brown, soft haze, frothy off white head, some lacing
Aroma - Red berry fruits, touch of raspberry, fruity caramel malts
Taste of red berry malts, caramel, soft toasted malt, some earthy hops, resinous hop, touch of pine, lots of malts, rich flavour
Palate - Medium carb and body, quite rich texture, fairly sweet malts, bitter hops, some bitter toasted notes. Finish is rather dry, bitter toasted malt. Bitter linger.
