Queen's Gambit is the result of a collaboration between Breugem Breugem and Brouwerij Eembier. It is an experiment in which both brewers have used their favorite malts and added a number of relatively unknown, new German hop varieties. The result is a heavy blond beer. Slightly sweet with a soft finish.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark amber colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish malty and phenolic, minimally fruity aroma, a touch of rotting yellow stone fruit, some alcohol. Taste is bitter hoppy, slightly grainy, pale malty with very low residual sweetness, slightly alcoholic, minimally phenolic, a touch of muesli; slightly warming, alcoholic finish.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, indifferent palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation..
Disharmonious, unbalanced, alcoholic, fermented muesli - hardly palatable.
