From tap at Noordelijk Kerst- en Winterbierenfestival Hoogeveen 2019. Roasty aroma with coffee, chocolate, and a touch of liquorice. Roasted malts. Some sharp flavours, but not bothersome. Mild to medium bitter and moderate sweet flavour. Medium to full body. Pretty good Stout.

Bottle. Color: Black, brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, coffee beans. Taste: Dry, creamy and almost a bit powdery, roasted malt, coffee beans, hints of vanilla. Notes of laurel and liquorice. Over moderate to medium sweet, light to moderate bitterness. Full body, below average carbonation. Long lasting finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Very nice.

0,33 l bottle from Slijterij D´r Bij, Veendam. Pours out jet black with a more than one finger dark beige head. Intensive berriefruity smell with choco and coffee. Tstevstarts very smooth, roasted malt, choco, coffee, slick and creamy. Fruity alcoholic. Really great stuff!

Bottle at tasting. Opaque black color, average sized brown head. Aroma and flavor are malts, roasted malts, malt bitter, roasted malts bitter. Light chocolate coffee hints even. And this for 3,50 euros? Price-quality ratio this is a 10.

Fles op vakantie gekocht, geprobeerd met Benzai en Keukeman. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een bruin schuim. Het heeft een gebrande moutige geur met tonen van hout en drop. De smaak is gebrand, houtig, koffie en drop achtig.

Fles 33cl thuis. Flink roasted malts, flink bitter, droog, espresso, lichte rooksmaak, pure chocolade, vanilletonen, redelijk koolzuur, ergens donkere bessen, boterachtig, alcoholwarmte. Verrassend. (8-10-2019).
