Dryhopped Bergamot IPA
Ingredienser: Vand. Bygmalt: Pilsner, Munich. Humle: Columbus, Simcoe, Athanum. Bergamotte ekstrakt. Gær: UK-Ale.
The world of craft beer (whatever that is) has grown way beyond our wildest imagination since we mashed in our virgin brew in 2007, in that nuclear fallout shelter that served as the first location for Amager Bryghus. The amount of breweries worldwide has exploded since that, to what - two or three times as many as back in 2007? It's a crazy and inspiring world for us beer folks, and it's also an extremely competitive environment with many breweries struggling to find their niche in the market. And that bastard virus sure didn't help. But we're still here! Older and fatter, but definitely not wiser or richer. But we insist on being silly and curious and playful and to keep experimenting and goofing around with those basic ingredients that make a beer. That's why we created the Brewer's Playtime series, to do exactly that: play around. We'll be testing new ingredients and new approaches to brewing, and hopefully you won't notice anything at all, because the beer is just that damned good! As we always say at Amager, we take beer seriously, but ourselves way less so.

Can, 0.44l. Aroma of citrus, passion fruit, ripe mango and biscuit. Pours cloudy dark golden color with thick creamy off-white head, floating yeast particles and sparkling appearance. Taste starts light sweet caramelly and bready, following is citrusy, herbal, floral and papery, mouthfeel is smooth and dry, while finish is heavy bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Zesty and bitter truth...

Can. A hazy golden beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of bergamotte, hops, spices, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of bergamotte, spices, hops, and malt, leading to a bitter finish. Not a big fan of bergamotte in my beer.
