A recreation of a historical beer style "American Pilsner". It's roots date back to 1800s when German immigrants brought traditional pilsner brewing style to America.
Our interpretation of the style is a bit more corny, in a good way! The unusually high percentage of flaked corn provides a beautiful and complex sweetness that balances with the Czech Saaz hop’s bitterness
Fermented low and slow with a lager yeast strain and lagered for 3 whole months as every traditional lager should, ensures that you will be tasting your first lager. The taste and aroma is complex and fascinating.
Are you ready to taste a true lager?

Bottle picked up from Kostas and the Kykao Brewery, Patras, Greece and consumed at home Sunday 4th October 2020 listening to Aldous Harding - Designer, cooking fried potatoes and frying chicken. Light hazy gold with a white head, cereal notes and a little pondweed, some sweetness, light crisp bite, dry finish.
