Ferret beer #2 - wish it was a bit more fruity to balance out the hops.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Waitrose in Stratford. Pours clear copper with a foamy, white head. Light to medium sweet with notes of lightly toasted bread, some berries, yeast, crackers, light citrus. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty well balanced finish, more toasted and bready malts, nips of British yeast, berries and citrus. Not bad!

Dark amber pour with a decent white head. Aromas of mango and passion fruit, some malt as well. Taste of malt, hops, grass before passion fruit kicks in. Malty, slightly dissapointing finish. Interesting.

500ml bottle from Waitrose in Hereford. Shared with Finn on the train to Portsmouth/Southsea. Frothy off-white head leaving rings of lace down the glassware, clear dark amber body. Promising taste of passion fruits and mid-sweet malts. Blended taste profile of mango, grass, and a light caramel bite. Malt-fruity ending. Nice. (18.10.2022).

Fra Waitrose, Hereford. Delt med Rune på tog mellom Newport og Portsmouth. Mørk gylden. Høyt kremaktig skum som daler sakte. Spotlacing. Ferskenaroma. Smaken tørket fropisl frukt. Tørr bitter avslutning. Fruktig helhetsinntrykk.

Bottle. Nos e is pronounced passion fruit, pink chewy sweets, mango, hint of pineapple. I strongly suspect there's some flavouring added. Taste is is metallic, grapefruit, caramel, leading to light fruitiness and a citrus and medicinal finish, strawberry. Again tastes of something added. It's passable, and a careful reading of the bottle suggest there could be added flavours but I might be being unfair. Either way it tastes like shoddy adjuncts.
