bitter hoppy aroma with a well balanced malty base. hops are citrussy, grapefruity, grapefruit peel, very aromatic bitterness. flavor is the same. perfectly matching malty base to a very near perfect hoppy bitternes, that is both quite hoppy and very aromatic and full bodied. this one is really lovely. subtle notes of oranges and citrus fruits. Citra rocks of course, but the brewery also totally nailed the perfect malty base for this beer.

DIPA from this German craft brewer, shared by tderoeck at Bar Beenhouwer, cheers! Very thick and frothy, cobweb-lacing, snow white head on a hazy apricot blonde beer. Aroma of dried grapefruit peel, starfruit, white bread dough, toasted onion, green mango, moist white pepper, white soap. Cleanly fruity onset, starfruit, green kiwi and unripe pineapple, stinging carbonation, full body; soft doughy pale maltiness under a somewhat zesty and peppery, citric hoppiness, exhibiting a whiff of unripe mango but not descending in extravert 'tropicalness', adding a vague retronasal oniony note. The alcohol is noticeable as a gin-like afterglow but does not become too obtrusive. Balanced hazy DIPA, somewhat too restrained for a NEIPA-style beer but still far removed from the original West Coast DIPAs, as seems to have been the intention; enough bitterness to remain quaffable, though, but a bit underwhelming.

Small if stable white head over hazy pale yellow-golden beer. Bit of old, cheesy hops. Faint caramel & Pilsner malt, caramel and white grapes. Hoppy, bitterish, with hints at malt and a delicate point of acidity; good balance. Medium bodied, quite slick, hopoil feel. Medium carbonation. Not bad, not spectacular.

Clear pale blond to yellow beer, big creamy white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lovely, lots and lots of citrus all right, grapefruit, some passion fruits, little malty, grains. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, very fruity, some tropical fruits, juicy, nice bitterness. Aftertaste: grapefruit, some white grapes, citrus notes, sweet touch, nice one, some passion fruits, little sweet, good stuff, very nice!
