Complex layers of deep port sweetness are fortified by cacao nib additions from Ecuador and Ghana to finish this Barrel Aged Chocolate Porter!

Bottle. SirAlex bithday basher. Pours black with a small creamy beige head and lacings. Heavy roast, wood, vanilla, cocoa nibs and good coffee. Slick, vinous and intense. Lovely like most other B.L offerings. Long finish.

Bottle, Sergey's hunt
Thick ink black, almost no head. A bit smokey; strong chocolate flavour, sweet, thick, but also a bit oily, and not very bitter; the alcohol is noticeable.
Whatever is the North American idea of Porter, this one is not as good as an Imperial Stout, still, it's very good.

500ml (thx, Brian S.!) at Ash's shared with Alex and Andrey. Appearance: very dsrk brown with a beige head. Aroma: chocolate, port, wood, bourbon. Taste: along the same lines, lots of dark fruits. Overall: good one.

Super chocolatey. Crazy smooth, soft bourbon, rich chocolate and a hint of port tannins and fruityness. Chocolate, not oversweet, but the rich, dark kind mixed in with the soft, milky and sweet stuff. Massive slow sipper, very tasty.

Bottle shared by Adam, thanks! Pours near black with a creamy chocolate brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy chocolate and dark grains with booze and chocolate supporting. Flavor has a boozy chocolate with dark grains, booze and light roast backing.

500ml bottle @ 9k tasting. Pours pitch black with a tiny head. Aroma of dark chocolate, wood, port, oak, bourbon and roasty malts. Taste is sweet, stingy and oaky with some bourbon, port, roastiness, chocolate, cocoa and vanilla. Finish is sweet, heavy with bitter chocolate, cocoa, vanilla and port notes. Quite heavy with the chocolate notes. Borderline too sweet, but still very tasty and complex.
