The four variations on Because We Can owe their individual and quirky personalities to the wooden liquor barrels they have spent months inside, slowly infusing their fantastic flavour. Remember Beethoven (the dog!) and his brandy-barrel necklace? He knew. Genius.

Deep black, big mocha head. The aroma, like in the other editions, is dominated by the barrel - more mellow, sweeter rounder fruit, plums, milk chocolate. It also has some very light acetic notes resembling Flemish ales, which actually make it stand a bit above the rest of the series. The taste, on the other hand, is probably the closest to the base stout - balanced and robust, with moderate boozy and hoppy finish.
