0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek', 2017 vintage at 7.5% abv, best before October 2024. Almost clear, ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity aroma of caramel, nuts and raisins. Quite sweet, malty, minimally bitter, gently fruity taste of caramel, raisins and some nuts, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant Doppelbock.

Minimal beige head left a collar & lacy cover on a rich copper coloured still body. Resin, caramel, spices & boozy aroma. Medium to full bodied, oily slick over the palate with dry sticky finish & minimal carbonation throughout. Caramel, toffee, sherry, marzipan, syrup, demerara & raisin & fruit tastes with boozy finish.

Faust Jahrgangsbock 2016, 7,5 %, Fläschchen von Edeka, Miltenberg. - Rotbraun, klar.

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker, vintage 2016. Pours clear brown. Aroma is bready, bocky, and malt forward. Little caramel, a bit burnt. Body is medium, oily and sweet, with a little booze, but it supports the boldness of this beer. Lively carbonation, over sweet caramel, honey. Good!
