2021 Edition. Bottle. Clear copper/amber sporting a small but decent beige/white head. Aroma of malts, dried fruits and a little bit of herbs. It’s basically pretty doppelbocky. Taste of malts, caramel, dried fruits, herbs and nuts. Moderate bitterness. Low to medium carbonation. Very balanced and dangerously drinkable. Delicious. Need to check out the fresh version.

330ml Bottle - Dark brown with orange tinges. Caramel, plums, brown sugar and hints of rye and berries in the aroma. Sweetish and fairly rich taste with berries, caramel, toffee, pecan nuts and some faint smoky elements in the taste.

2020 7.5% - Red brown colour with quick fading head. Lots or malts and some caramel sweetness. Some raisins. Very full bodied.

Thanks to Jan for sharing. Fantastic floral beginning. Rum, wood. Malt with lots of dry plums. Mild smooth, very fruity. Deep mild smooth wood, dried plums with red cherries and caramel. Fantastic.

Bottle from an online shop. Light haze on brown reddish gold, decent head. Sweetish biscuit syrupy nose. Nice honey caramel biscuit flavor with a good earthy bitterness on the tail end. Complex yeast notes with bananas Foster taking the stage. Great Bock!

Jahrgangsbock 2017. redish / brown color, small white head. smells earthy, marzipan, spices, peppery, nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes earthy, grassy, light honey, bit peppery, tobacco, marzipan, nutty. finishes lightly sweet with notes of honey, tobacco and marzipan notes. prefer this one colder, gets a bit heavy when warm. good stuff 7, 4, 7, 3, 15
