Ins Glas ergießt sich ein rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, süß, fruchtig, Karamell. Geschmack röstmalzig, stark fruchtig süß, Karamell, schokoladig, leicht alkoholisch.

Aroma has mash, grainy notes, some hay and raisins. Flavour has lots of berries, some malty notes, hay and raisins. Also metallic tones. Foamy and somewhat creamy palate. No singns of aging at all.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Clear dark red color, virtually no head. Smell and taste malts, iron, slightly leaves and slightly bitter in the finish. Average body and carbonation.

Bottle @ benzai. Clear amber colour with a minimal white head. Smells cardboard, malts, farty. Tastes sweet, malts, wood.. Full body, soft carbo. Nothing special.

Mahogany color, hazy, with medium sized compact head, not very persistent. Mild aroma of caramel and jam, lightly metallic. Good body strength; semi-sweet caramel flavor, with light jam touch; low bitterness; unfortunately the metallic feeling in the end is too strong.
Quite good anyway, and not really showing the age.

75 cl bottle, thanks to fiulijn. Pours hazy orange with a small off white head. Aroma is toasted malty,carAmelish and metallic yeasty. Sweet, fruity and toasted malty. Bitter and roasted malty finish.

Bottle 750ml. w. swing top. [ Bottle # 9/1497 ]. [ Vintage 2010 ]. Clear medium to dark brown - red amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, caramel, rye bread (rugbrød), øllebrød. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, øllebrød, sweet malt - sugary, bread. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121211]

Bottle #535 (vintage 2007): A bit unclear, rather quickly collapsing fluffy off-white head, complex nose: walnut-oil, dried fruits and caramelly to toasty malt, including a touch of old wine and a delicate -Stout-like - acidity; moderate to solid sweet flavour, supported by an acidic tinge and a faint bitterness. A shovel of dry raisins in the sweet and toasty finish. A bit too sweet, but very complex Doppelbock…

Leicht fruchtiger Geruch. Däuerlich-fruchtiger Malzbeginn, wobei die Fruchtigkeit schnell zum Fehlaroma mutiert. Muffig, viel zu süß, Apfelaromen. Nicht wirklich gut! 12/7/6/5/12/6
