When we decided to make an IPA with our pals at 33A, we wanted it to be special and local. So, we set out to create a beer only using ingredients from within 33 acres of our brewery... It turns out that's impossible.
So we sourced ingredients from local suppliers. BC Select Malt, Skagit Valley Malt and Bredenhof Farms Hops were all used to create this NE-Style IPA.

Murky blond colour. Generic orangey hops, the mouthfeel is off-dry and mildly chalky; the bitterness is reminiscent of bitter oranges.
Drinkable, random mediocre Hazy.

Cloudy light orange and some modest foam, smells of soft licoricey hops though too faint. Taste is musty and smoky hops, slight mandarin orange. Good hop oiliness on the back end. Drinkable but not a standout.

473mL can, pours a cloudy peachy golden with a small white head. Nose is very juicy, with lots of stone fruits, tropical fruits, some resinous and citrusy hops, pith, and sweet juicy malt. Flavour is juicy yet bitter, with lots of citrus hops, some dankness, bitter orange rinds, juicy tropical stone fruits, and enough sweet malt to back. This hazy has a nice hoppy bitterness that's well-balanced by the juicy fruitiness, without any undesirable chalkiness. Perhaps it doesn't have the depth or drinkability of some of the top hazies, but this is very well-made.
