We invited our pals at Superflux over to House of Lager for a playdate. Some socially distanced fun was had, and we made a corn lagerbier in the process. 40% flaked maize, 60% Skagit Valley pilsen malt. Mouteka and Wakatau hops in the boil and lightly dry hopped. Natural carbonation, lagered for six weeks. Enjoy it with a lime, or without.

Nice clear medium gold body and modest foam. Lots of corn on the nose, sweet hops, fresh and easy. Flavour is bright and smooth hops, thin and light, slight corn hints. Very easy drinking, a perfect warm weather lager.

341mL can, pours a clear blonde with a medium white head. Aroma is crisp and dry, with crisp biscuity malt, straw, and dry toasted rice. Flavour is clean, with notes of straw and toasted rice, with a crisp bitterness and crackery backside. Crisp and with great clarity. Highly drinkable.

2020-09-01, can from The Gull, North Vancouver, parallel with the Japanese Rice Lager, 7-4-7-3-14=35
Pale yellow, with chill haze, small head. Mild but nice aroma of noble hops, grassy, and crackery malt. Good body, delicate malt flavour, I can't think of corn this time; moderate bitterness, with light grassy hop character. Slightly oily in the finish. Solid.

Pale blond colour with slight haze, small head. Mild malt aroma. The mouthfeel is lean and enough chewy; the malt flavour is not bad, crispy; the bitterness is on the low side of the spectrum but sufficient, with some grassy hop feeling.
Clean and pleasant.
