Basil DDH Double IPA brewed in Jilava, Romania
This noble leaf's alluring aroma has been captivating people across the ages, all from the humble peasant to the most respected crowned heads.
Even if it's mainly used as a spice, it's clear that only the issue of scarcity has been the one that kept its uses strictly culinary.
If by means of large wealth and high position, one would somehow come by an excess of the wonderful basil leaf, there would be no telling what he could do.

Canned at Drinkoteka - was this mine, or was it courtesy of S&A&E? Not sure. Hazy yellow body, white head. Basil, something undecipherable and light sweet stone fruit in the aroma. Lean, dry, bitter taste, overly dry, with notes of alcohol, seemed a bit old I reckon, would have loved to try it fresh as I love basil!

Golden pour with a tall off-white head. Basil, citrus, stone fruit, gooseberries, brett, saison, herbs. An odd one, New England IPA meets Orval. Strangely pleasant.
