A Gold medal winner in the international brewing industry awards 2000, and a three times bronze medal winner at the Great British Beer Festival in the Best Mild category, this is a smooth, full flavoured, truly dark mild with a rich creamy head.

It has a full body and distinctive roasted malt taste, balanced by its fresh hop character.

Complex flavours and aromas are achieved by blending deeply roasted malt and adding a selected blend of English hops

Röstig-laffer Antrunk mit leichter Herbe. Dahinter verbergen sich Noten, die man sonst bei Alkoholfreien erwartet. Getreidig-bitterer Abgang mit wenigen Röstaromen. Nichts für mich. 6/4/5/5/8/4

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a tall creamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Faint nutty aroma. The taste is chocolate, nutty notes, faint fruity notes and a hop bitterness that lingers. Thin-medium bodied. I quite enjoyed this one.
