Athena is wise and she loves the owls. We love them too. We also love beer. And we thought of a light summer beer, a real session IPA, brewed with Cascade, Amarillo and Equinox (Ekuanot). Since Athene Noctua (known as Little Owl) is one of the lightest owls and this beer is the lightest beer that we have made, Athena popped up naturally when we discussed the name.

[ As OWL Athena ].
ABV: 4.3%. Clear medium yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, light hoppy, fruity hops, citrus - lemon. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average duration, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity hops, fruit peel, citric, light sour. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20201205]

Frothy white fair mostly diminishing head. Yellow colour. Light malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Slightly acetic.

Can. Slight hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hop, citrus and lemon. Flavour is malt, fruit, hop, citrus, lemon, citric, fruit peel and a little bitter.

Can @Romania2Ulfborg. Nearly clear golden, white head. Yeasty, citrusy aroma, but also some sour rag. Citrusy flavour, some sourish notes. Not too disturbing, but probably not intended.

Can @ fonefan tasting. Cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity and light hoppy - fruity. Flavor is medium sweet and light sour. Sweet and light sour finish. 051220

Can @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma and taste are hops, grass, fruits, malt and has a light bitter finish.
