This porter is regular, not a heavy porter like some Americans, a porter on the Swiss way light roasted malt, side of corn, interesting note of cherry, giving a fruity note, a bit sour, normal hop, welcome after a long walk from the train station, 16.02.21, purchased at the Pibar, tasting it at Epalinges.

Bottle, many thanks anstei! Brown color with beige-ish head. Aroma is chocolate, light cherry, light funk. Taste is chocolate, light honey, flowery, perfect balance between the wildness and the maltiness, also some sweetness from the corn. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Very good, with a lot of character, just like you'd expect a BFM Porter to be!

Bottled, thanks Bov! Hazy brown colour, mid sized beige head. Earthy nose with some ripe fruit. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Fruity, earthy malt. Mild spicy hops, notes of wood. Mid bitter finish. A non-assaulting contemplative beer.

Bottle, most likely from wombat23. Pours dark brown with a creamy head. Aroma and taste are more like that of a Dubbel than a traditional porter. Smells like brown sugar and cherry with light undertones of chocolate and roasted nuts. Taste is sweet, sugary, with tart undertones. Body is thick, syrupy. Carbonation is moderate. Overall it comes off a touch medicinal. It’s not bad, but would not be on my buy again list.

Bottle. Pours darkest amber with a big beige head. Aroma is some coffee and chocolate, corn, honey, roasted malts. Body is heavy and quite sweet, with lots of honey indeed. Lively carbonation. Sticky and oily texture. Chestnut could be there, hard to say, but there are definitely some flavour oddities included. Sweetish palate. An experiment for sure, but not the most successful one.
