Our American Pale Ale is single hopped with Cascade hops to create the west coast hop profile and fresh hop aromas significant to the style. Up front it’s all about the citrus flavours of the Cascade hop, with these initial citrussy hop flavours leading on to sweeter toffee and marmalade-like maltiness for a balanced flavour and an unbitter beer..

From cask at The Dog & Bell St. Patrick’s Real Ale Festival with Terje 11.03.22. Cloudy pale peach colour. Dense white head and lacing. Excellent aroma and taste of lychee, lime, orange marmalade, fresh grass and pale malt. Good!

Bottle from Blackrock Cellar, Dublin [100714]
Orange, hazy, massive white head, over carbonated
Aroma of soft citrus zest, soft sweet pale malts, dab of grapefruit citrus
Taste of soft citrus zest, dab of tinned grapefruit, grainy, soft cereals, slight hay, dab of bitter orange, yeasty, not great, my notes say 5/6
Palate - soft carb (once settled), medium body, oily, bit of a powdery grainy mouthfeel, fairly bitter, soft sweet malts. Finish as main flavour, some dull orange, lingering grainy yeast
Overall - Disappointed with this one tbh, below average
