En unik øl inspirert av skogen. Bøkerøkt malt gir sødme og smak av røkt bacon, som balanserer vel med høy bitterhet. Store mengder bitterhumle gir smak og aroma av einer, salvie og mynte. Lagergjær gjør denne relativt lettdrikkelig og lett, men med kraftige smaker.

Passer godt til sterk mat og kraftige oster eller alene.

Canned (from Vinmonopolet Kirkenes). Very deep amber colour with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is smoked malts, some wooden tones with mild caramel and some floral tones. Flavour is quite strong on the bitterness, but also has a nice smoked malty and caramelly edge to it.

Can 330ml (Vinm, AIH165, BB 06/2022) Ruby colour, medium-sized beige head.. Aroma of bicycle tyre and smoke. Medium-bodied. Very hoppy lager. Smoke, sweetish malts. A bit rough.

330ml can from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Shared with lmojoh and Finn. Lasing fawn-coloured head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Next-to-clear brown-reddish body. Prominent smoked nose. The taste character follows suit with smoked malts a la bacon, joined by juniper and moments of caramel malts. Roasted smoked bitterness to the finish. Not that well balanced, slightly unvaried, but fair enough. (Tromsø 09.06.2021).

Sløret rødbrun med lyst beige skum. Aroma røyk malt. Smak røyk malt karamell muligens noe frukt. Middels fyldig, mye røyk.

Spandert av Rune. Delt med ham og lmojoh i WCveien. Lavt tett skum med litt farge. Amber. Nesten klar. Aroma av bacon. Smaken røyk. Bare det. Uvariert. Tørr avslutning.

330 ml can, as Fjordfolk Red Forest Smoked Lager, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 9.1%, IBU 75. Dark red colour, moderate and creamy off-white head. Aroma of beech-smoked malts, smoked meat and bonfires. Smoked flavour too, a slight fruitiness, and a massive and sharp hop bitterness in the aftertaste. The bitterness is definitely over the top and unbalanced, making you nearly forget that you have just taken a sip of a smoked beer. Won't buy again.
