Flemish Red Ales are often referred to as the Burgundy of Belgium due to their deep reddish-brown hue and wine-like characteristics.
Outback Sky is our interpretation of a Flemish Red Ale. Composed of a blend of 9 month old and 24 month old barrels. Complex flavours of rich malts, sourness, dark fruits and oak

This beer is can-conditioned, naturally carbonated via a refermentation in the can. This is the traditional method used for Belgian-style beers and allows the beer to further develop during extended cellaring.

(Can) Pours clear red brown with small tan head. Aroma of cherries, bread, notes of wine and vinegar. Medium bodied with good fine carbonation. Great taste. Sour, as it should be. Citrus, cherries, wine vinegar, woody notes, burnt sugar and earthy hints. Very good.

Can. Clear reddish brown with a small pale beige head that never disappears. Aroma of cherries, oak, red wine on the turn. Medium bodied, not really slippery. Not as fruity in the taste with dark bread crust and cherry, moderate sourness (and acid) and a dry and oaky finish. Pretty good, maybe lacked a bottom end richness.
