12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear gold with about a finger of white head. Aroma of citrus, wheat and a little hay. Taste is about the same, but with more citrus. Lemon and orange. Medium bodied with a creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, very good. Next time I head up North I’ll have to grab a whole 6-pack instead of just a single.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear golden, but with lots of suspended particles, and with a white head. Aroma is yeasty, bubble gum and clove, a little apple, not bad. Flavor has lightly yeasty pale malt biscuit, a rather clean palate, though it’s a bit of a letdown after the aroma. No real excitement here.

Bottle: Pale golden pour with a fizzy body. Thin white head. Nose is grassey and dough/bread. Tastes lightly grassey with some more doughy notes, yeast qualities, and hints of tropical fruit. A nice weight to it.

Poured from a bottle into my brand new; New Glarus footed Pilsner glass. Much appreciation goes out to Katie for this one! Very small head and retention. Nose is sweet grainy malt and hay. Flavor is also sweet and slightly grassy with lots of pale malt flavor. Creamy mouth feel. Sweet malty aftertaste. Light body. Very easy drinking. The cream ale style is over-looked by many breweries. However, it can be a refreshing beer when you are NOT looking for something over the top.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a boring dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

On tap. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is sweet with grains and bread with a bit of a cookie note. Flavor has notes of sweet grains backed by sweet bread with some creaminess.

Purchased at Breeze Thru Liquors in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed on a June day where the temp is 48 degrees and the high yesterday was 96 degrees. Go figure. Appearance a slightly hazy yellow with a thin white head, lots of tiny yeasties with small carbonation bubbles. Aroma of corn and German ale yeast, a bit of sweetness and malty. Taste of corn, goes down smooth and is highly drinkable which is probably why it’s very popular in WI. Somewhat sweet, lightly grassy. Not a bad one but not anywhere near my fav New Glarus beer.

Bottle thanks to doodler. Pours with a ever so slightly hazy, full golden body with noticeable carbonation. The head is large, creamy, white and retentive, and leaves pretty amazing lacing behind (this is a cream ale? with corn?). Aromas are sweet, fruity, estery, corn, cornbread, and a very faint hop note. Quite estery compared to other cream ales that I have had. A tinge of alcohol for a small beer. Light notes of grass and the tiniest hint of DMS. Flavors start sweet, malty, bready, toasty, corn bread and a bit of corn. Stays malty sweet till the finish which ends crisp. Balance is slightly to moderately sweet. No hop character, bitterness is minimal. Noticeably soft water. A bit estery. A smooth creamy mouthfeel. Fullness is aided by high, nearly fizzy carbonation. Lighter bodied, no astringencies. Finishes crisp. I actually quite enjoy this beer. Clean, slightly sweet, and easy to drink. Simple.

[3/2/11] Bottle at a friend’s house in Amsterdam. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of noble hops and bready malt. Sweetish bready flavor with corn, some fruitiness, hay, some graininess and a drier finish with light bitterness. Light-medium-bodied.
