Zu den 100% österreichischen Äpfeln gesellt sich listig eine Birne, die meinem Cider ein süßliches Aroma verleiht und sich perfekt mit dem etwas säuerlichen Apfelgeschmack ergänzt. Das ergibt ein erfrischend spritziges Cider-Vergnügen.
Nicht nur ausgefuchst sondern auch ausgewogen im Geschmack.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, pale yellow/greenish with a short and fizzy, white head. Aroma of tart apples. Sweet apple notes, discreet fake pear notes and a modest, underlying tartness. Quite fizzy. Offers sort of a middle way between pop RTD ciders (think Somersby) and real cider. 230725

Da ich inzwischen jedes noch so grausliche Hofer-Bier probiert und nachverkostet habe (mein Sohn zwingt mich jedes mal zu "unserem" Hofer zu gehen, da er dort seinen Paw-Patrol-Saft von der Egger-Brauerei bekommt), probiere ich halt mal die Cidre, die angeboten werden.
Wie alle Stibitzer wurden hier die österreichischen Äpfel 🍎 nach Belgien gebracht, um als Apfelwein wieder retour zu kommen. Ob die Birnen 🍐 das gleiche Schicksal hatten weiß ich bicht, oder man gleich belgische hernahm.
Es ist mein 2. Cider von Hofer und ich muss sagen, das das reine Apfelprudukt besser war.
Dieses ist trotz süßer Birne saurer und wirkt eher chemisch.
Ich brauche es nicht mehr.

0.33l bottle from the Spar in Gumpendorfer Strasse, Vienna. Brewed in Belgium (with Austrian apples), then bottled in Austria. Sure, makes sense. Anyway. Paaale shiny yellow body, white head gone soon, bit fizzy. Sweetish vinuous aroma, pears and light apples, even vague banana. Drier taste than expected, some sweetish pear touches more than apple, light fermentation traces, pear burps hah. Juicy enough, definitely not too sweet in my book. I kinda enjoyed it! I mean, it's not pure sugary swill, it definitely shows cider characteristics but is also definitely close to a pop. Fun!

Süßlicher, harmonisch apfelig-birniger Beginn. Weit weniger süß als die reine Apfel Version, leider aber auch künstlich wirkend. Süffig, halbwegs erfrischend. Okay. 6/7/8/7/9/7

Bottle at a tasting. A faint hint of apple character, but otherwise mostly sweetish water, very thin, characterless, making live in a canoe.

Bottle from random Austrian supermarket. Pale golden color with minimal white head. Very light apple in aroma. Sweet water with homeopathic amount of apples.

Enjoyed straight from can. Nose: apple, apple peel, sweet pear. Similar taste. Fairly sweet. Fizzy. Light-bodied.

Clear yellow. Aroma is fruity yeast apple pear maybe a little dough. Taste is sweet apple juice with a little fresh carbonation. Drinkable. Maybe alittle sweet but very balanced and actually nice. More pear in the finish. I like

33cl bottle. A clear pale yellow colour, small white ring. Aroma of moderate sweet ripe apples and pears. Taste of sweet pears, apples, moderate riped and sourish fruits, medium carbonation.

Bottle. Clear pale yellow color with white head. Aroma is pear, vanilla, light green apple candy. Taste is pear, sweet vanilla. Watery mouthfeel with fizzy carbonation. Too sweet.
