Bottle @ home. Somewhat hazy, brownish, golden orange appearance with a white head. Fresh piney, floral hoppy, lightly earthy, pale malty flavor. Bitter, herbal, piney, slightly floral hoppy, lightly citrusy, lemon, sweet pale malty flavor. Solid APA, albeit pretty hoppy.

Bottle shared by maniac at the 16th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering, 11/5/11. Pours a clear yellow color with a thin off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of floral hops, caramelized malts and citrus. The taste is floral, citrus and vegetal hops and caramel malts. Medium bodied.

Aroma: The aroma is quite fruity (peach, apricot, mango, etc), with some grassy hop notes
Appearance: It pours a hazed yellow-golden color with thick, frothy white head and heavy lace
Flavor: It has some crackery malt, it is grassy and fruity, with a light-mid bitter, lemony finish
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has fairly lively carbonation, and a lightly dry finish
Overall Impression: After trying a bunch of other Maine beers in the last 6 months or so (since they came to NYC/NJ) I wanted to give Peeper a re-rate to see if my opinion had changed. Honestly, it hasn't changed month. This is a solid, fruity Pale Ale, but in the Maine APA debate, it isn't up to the level of Mo for me.

Location: 500 ml bottle from Grand Cru in Rhinebeck, 10/21/11

Aroma: The aroma is fairly mild, mostly tropical fruits with a little bit of perfume hop notes
Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden-orange color, a frothy white head, and good lacing on the glass
Flavor: The taste is hoppy, but less citrusy, it is pretty sweet, with a dry/hoppy bitterness to the finish
Palate: The body is light-medium, the duration is average-to-long, and the carbonation is fairly soft
Overall Impression: This was a solid American style Pale Ale. It definitely works on the American hops level. I found it to be pretty good. I like the citrus hop component that is present here. Well-made.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, malt, anc caramel. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and straw.

Bottle from Vinens Verden. Huge head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma and taste are rich flowers, hops, malt, notes of cheese and has an oily palate.

Bottle. Very cloudy bronzy golden beer with a strongish head. The aroma is bitter and fruity, and the flavour is quite well hopped with a long bitter and slightly herbal finish. Overall a nice clean tasting not too strongly hopped, but hopped enough beer.

500mL bottle, sent from gn0sis (thanks Eric!), pours a hazy golden with a sizable lingering, white head. Aroma of citrusy and floral hops above anything - the floral notes are upfront and very pleasant. Flavour of soapy, floral hops with a little citrusy edge. Nothing revolutionary, but a solid floraly pale ale. Very nice.

Bottle at Leighton’s Aug 11 tasting. It pours hazy golden yellow, with a thin white head. The nose is pine, grass, orange, mango, light spice and chocolate Smarties. The taste is straw, hay, white bread, lemon, orange, apricot and pine, with a long light bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. It’s smooth, clean and well balanced. Nice.

Hazy dark yellow with a lasting white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and rather hoppy - peach and pine needles. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 030911

Bottle. Slightly hazy dark yellow with big off-white head. Flavour is malt, citrus, hops, fruit, peach, little pine and medium bitter.
