A blend of Rum barrel aged and Bourbon barrel aged ales.
The captain of the ship knew the moment he sailed into the Fog of Death what was next. Legend decreed that out of nowhere, the stench of the Reaper would arrive with his chess board in hand. And a Dead Man's Game would be waged for the souls on the ship.
If the captain availed himself and triumphed over death, the ship would sail on, reaping the rewards of gold and riches. Should death prevail, the ship and souls would vanish in the damp night air forevermore. Many played the Dead Man's Game, but no ship ever sailed out of the Fog of Death.. until this night.

From a 375 ml bottle at the RB gathering May 2018. Pours a clear cola with with an ecru head. Aroma of prunes and raisins with some rum barrel notes. Flavors are substantial sweet and boozy. Woof. Delicious but a smack in the face.

375ml bottle, at the May 2018 DC RB Tasting. Poured a kind of murky, kind of clear ruby red color with a very wispy head. Aroma was raisin, toasted notes. Sweet caramel, toffee, raisin. Light chocolate. Rum cake.

Bottle shared with the KL Tasting Crew. Poured a clear dark brown with a round bubbly off white head. The aroma is roasty sweet malt, molasses, light boozy alcohol, dark fruits. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth rich, raisin, warm boozy alcohol palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle @Ulfborg Tasting. Very dark brown, small beige head. Aroma has dried fruit, bourbon, cocoa. Sweet flavour, drid fruit, alc heat. Strong bourbon finish. Not very Belgian, perhaps beneath the bourbon somewhere?

On tap at the brewery. Hazy dark brown with a small head. Sweetish with dried fruit, bourbon, vanilla and malt. The finish was long with warming notes.

Tap at EBF, Boston. Color is dark brown with small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Some spices, cacao, some dry fruits, chocolate, some bourbon and malts. Pretty heavy.
