Small cream head, stable, over very deep dark brown beer. Wet dog combined with breadcrust, dark bread. Less wet dog in the mouth, but even more dark bread; dark grains, roast, melanoidins. And missing all the normal features of a classid Weizen. Very thin body (a wheat!), not very carbonated. Weird, putting it mildly. Given blind, we would never have guessed Weizen, Dunkel or other. Thin.

Bottle as a gift. Aroma is brown malt with bready notes, yeast, caramel, hint of banana and roast. Flavour has some wheaty sourness and little sweetness. Light to medium body. Aroma is fine, but the flavour and body put me off a bit.

Bottle from Beerlovers, vienna. Pours very dark brown with a short lasting fizzy beige head. Aroma of chocolate, banana, raisin, plum, marzipan, sour berries, yeast and a little tobacco. Medium sweetness, light bitterness, touch of sour. Light to medium body, slightly oily and watery texture, average to soft carbonation. Finishes dry with a chocolate and sour edge.
