Quite hazy deep copper and light amber coloured body with a nice and relatively fast-dying two to three centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of peaches (of course), soured and tart funk, some light yeasts, a dash of flowers and a touch of both brett and some lactobilly notes that are a little strong in a good way. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong tart and funky fruit and yeast notes dominate with a bit of a light oaky and woodsy foeder-type flavour that starts out, but switches to a very nuaned, super fruity bite with peaches, pears, lemons, oranges, apples and a good hint of berries right at the end that makes this tart and funky combined in a very nice, complex manner. Aftertaste shows the fresh fruits, the funky, kettle-soured flavours that almost taste like some barrel-aging and souring, but those notes seem short, due to the pungency of the lactobilly flavours right at the end. Overall, a very nice and super complex, ultra-fruity beer that shows a great layer of sweetness on top of funk on top of fruits - all combining for a nice and pungent beer with a great flavour profile and better complexity, while still being light and easy-drinking making this yet another Hermit Thrush beer worth going out for - if you can find it, buy one or more, since this is great for the style! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 11-April-2020 for US$5,21 sampled at my house here in Washington on 26-August-2020.

5oz pour at The Well, Brooklyn. Amber murky color, small white head. Smells of Funk, earthy, grassy, lactic, peppery. Nice smell not very fruit forward. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes of grassy, earthy notes, some funk, lactic, spices, peppery. Finishes dry and lightly sour with notes of grassy, earthy and some funky notes. Nice one, not overly special, peach almost not noticeable
