bottle at home courtesy of Saeglopur, many thanks. dark brown / almost black color. small tan head. smells malty roasty, some sweetness, coffee, light smoke. light to medium, medium carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes malty roasty, some spices, light coffee, caramel, light smoky, milky, light acidic. finishes with spices and roast bitterness. quite nice, liked the taste a bit better than the smell, quite good for the low ABV.

bottle from Merkus Wien-Hütteldorf. Deep brown, almost black with a creqamy beige head. Caramel and chocolate in the nose. Chocolate, espresso flavour and a touch of sweet caramel. Good dark beer.

Bottle. Black body with some red reflections and a medium, creamy, beige head, that leaves a good lacing. Nice aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, burnt wood, liquorice, caramel, dark fruits. Taste is even better, with dark chocolate, coffee, smoke, wood, toast, red and dark fruits, caramel. Mouthfeel is medium to full, creamy, with a medium carbonation and it finishes moderate, roasty-bitter and smoky. Tasty! I can’t remember having a better Schwarzbier so far. The dark complexity almost is Stout-like and the subtle smoky notes are really pleasant.
