The bottle looks good, as well as the beer in the glass. Starts a bit grasy-moldy, but turns then nicely hoppy-fresh with flowery notes. Finish more and more spicy and well balanced. Becomes better with every gulp. Good beer!

Slightly hazy. Buttery nose. The character is buttery, somewhat malt-accented with a hint of mineral. Gak.

Draught at the brewpub. Mildly buttery aroma. Almost clear golden colour. The flavour is slightly sweet, buttery, but not a lot.

Bottled. Slightly hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is earth, sweet malts, some slight toffee as well as some mild sour wooden notes. Flavour is quite fruity along with sweet malts and mild caramelly notes. Mild earthyness as well.

Bottled. A golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, while the body is thin. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Draught Good thick eggyellow head, fed by fine pearling from old-gold coloured beer, leaving shards of lace. Malty and hop-aromatic nose, in what might be perfect balance. Very malty, intense malt flavour, ending in a fine hoppy finish. Fine biscuits with a spicy hops-flavouring, yet sweetish in the long-lingering end. Spritzy, lively mouthfeel, CO², but nowhere fizzzy. Near medium bodied. Another absolute classical from the Fränkischer Schweiz. If in the neighbourhood, omitting this one must amount to mortal sin.

Bottled. Hazy golden, small head. Grassy hops jumps at me. A closer inspection reveals some citrus too. Wonderfully soft upon drinking. Doughy, superbly structured malt gives notes of butter and medium body. The aromatic hops are evident, but does in no way overshadow or detract from the goodness of the malt. A mild, yet flavourful beer in the typical Franconian spirit.
